On each of Honda’s three motorcycle exhibition stages at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show we explore the theme ‘Have Wings?’ – a reference to the ‘Wing’ mark that has long stood as the symbol of our passion for building innovative, high-quality motorcycles. With this simple question we invite visitors to share in the spirit of challenge (embodied in our global slogan ‘The Power of Dreams’) that has always kept Honda – and all those who ride with us – moving swiftly and confidently into the wonder and excitement of the future.

On display this year is an exciting mix of unique, creative concept machines and new models representing two different ‘Wings’ of motorcycling enjoyment – a ‘Sports’ wing that speaks to the sheer fun and excitement of riding, and a ‘Style’ wing that looks to make motorcycles a bigger part of a more enriching and enjoyable lifestyle.

Through efforts to bring innovative concepts into harmonious fusion with cutting-edge technology, we at Honda continue our ongoing dream of realising ever-better relationships among people, society, and the motorcycles we all love to ride.

On the Main Stage
On our main stage we offer concept models that point the way to the future, new models soon to be released, and current models representing the dreams and enjoyment already available today. Two basic types of motorcycles on display include large scooters equipped with advanced, hydraulically controlled, continuously variable transmissions (CVT), and Super Sport models featuring powerful V-twin engines and revolutionary new chassis designs – both expressing Honda’s ongoing commitment to expanding and extending the realm of motorcycling enjoyment. This all-weather large-displacement commuter scooter combines advanced Honda technologies with aerodynamic design features including a long, gently sloping nose and futuristic power-slide roof. Powered by a new 750cc flat-4 engine, the Elysium also features a hydraulically controlled, continuously variable transmission (CVT) that allows instant switching between automatic and manual operation, depending on riding conditions. Other features include a navigation system and special projector headlights to optimise visibility.

Honda Riding Simulator

The Honda Riding Simulator is a riding education tool that allows motorcyclists to safely experience the characteristics of different types of bikes, as well as many of the hazards that may be encountered while riding. This new version is more compact, easier to use, and more economical than previous models, and includes swappable seat and tank configurations for a more realistic simulation of many motorcycle sizes and shapes.
